Label TextUnidentified woman from late eighteenth Century, attributed to William Verstille. William Verstille was a painter from Wethersfield, Connecticut, who painted portraits of many Connecticut residents and was actively involved in portraiture and jewelry-making in other major cities such as in Boston, Philadelphia, and New York.
