Label TextThis is a copy of a miniature portrait of Frances Elizabeth Waldo of a miniature portrait of her attributed to Charles William Eldridge, the uncle of the subject. This copy was probably painted ten years after the original and shows noticeable differences. The copy is larger, painted on milk glass, and was painted by a relatively unskilled artist.
NotesDate Note: The frame dates this miniature portrait to about 1845-1850. Assuming the frame is original, the portrait was probably painted about this time.
