DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a man with brown hair and blue eyes. He is wearing a white stock or cravat, white shirt, cream-colored waist coat, and black jacket. The back of the metal frame has a circular opening with a lock of hair under glass. The frame also has a loop for suspension.
Label TextThis miniature depicts Loren Pinckney Waldo as a young man, about the time of his marriage to Frances Elizabeth Eldridgein 1825. Waldo later became a prominent lawyer, a United States Congressman, and judge of the superior court of Connecticut. The miniature is attributed to his brother-in-law Charles William Eldridge.
