DescriptionBust length miniature portrait, profile of a man facing left. He has long grey hair pulled back into a ponytail, thick eyebrows and a rosy complexion. He wears a white jabot, a tan buff vest, and a light brown coat.

The miniature is set in a square black wooden frame with a gold metal border around the portrait. The backing of the frame is a black paper board nailed to wooden edges with a metal wire stretched across center and attached to suspension loops on sides.
NotesObject Note: This is miniature is one of eight that George Dudley Seymour commisioned Mildred Jordan to paint, most based on portraits in his possession. The subject, Captain Robert Wells, is Seymour's maternal great great grandfather. (Lee 10/24/2014)
