DescriptionA large group of men and women stand in the interior of a ballroom. Some women wear floral corsages on their dresses. Men wear suits or tuxedos and neckties. Some wear eyeglasses. Some women wear jewelry. One man holds a bottle, probably a wine bottle. Tables with tablecloths line the walls at left and right. Patterned drapes are at the windows. Electric lights are between the windows. A band is on a stage at the back of the room. Musicians play musical instruments including a grand piano, a saxophone, and drums.
NotesSubject Note: Thus far, it has not been possible to identify the Daughters of Queen Marguerite. It seems likely that they were members of a society of women of foreign descent, possibly Italian, French, or French Canadian. (Finlay 3/12/2002)
