DescriptionSubjects include a view of the Plainfield Congregational Church; a large stone quarry, probably in Portland, Connecticut; the State Prison in Wethersfield; a view of Fairfield Seminary; and two views of Main Street, Hartford, with signs that read: "Conklin's Bazaar," "DeLamater, Photographer," "Continental Life Insurance," "Geers & Pond," "Meyer & Redfield, Merchant Tailors," "Kellogg's Photograph[ic?] Art Studio." One photograph of Main Street, Norwich, includes a sign for "J. Weekes, Photographer." Another photograph, of Bank Street (possibly in Waterbury), includes a sign for "Northrup's Gallery of Art and News Office." Another street scene includes a sign for "Burnside Lodge No. 1 Faith, Hope, Charity." Other photographs are labeled "Simons Mill" and "Saml. Barkers Henery." In other photographs, groups of people pose in front of a tent and a large rock.
