DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a man wearing the regalia of the Order of Odd Fellows, including a sash with fringe and tassles and medallions, over a double-breasted coat, shirt, tie and stickpin. Various symbols are in the border. These include an all-seeing eye, an open Bible, an equilateral triangle, a winged cherub, a dove with an olive branch, three columns, a flaming torch, a lamb, a sleeping child and a sleeping lion, a beehive, a serpent, a bundle of sticks or fasces, a hatchet and a chain, a cauldron and clasped hands. Some symbols are surrounded by decorative cartouches.
