DescriptionViews depict Winsted and West Winsted and other sites in Litchfield County. Identified subjects include Prospect Street looking east, a view from Camp's Hill, a view of commercial buildings on Main Street, and a view of the Silk Mill (in West Winsted) from Lake Street. Other subjects include a parade, unidentified houses, ponds, and rivers. One photograph appears to depict the aftermath of the Wallingford Tornado.
Part of the John S. Craig Collection.
NotesSubject Note: King T. Sheldon's photographic studio was located in West Winsted, but he took photographs of many other towns in northwestern Connecticut as well as the immediate Winsted area. Subjects of these photographs probably include other towns in Litchfield County.
