NotesSubject Note: "Autumn New England" was exhibited at Mitchell's one-man show at the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, Connecticut, in 1968; at the Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, Connecticut, in 1968; another one-man exhibition at American International College in 1969; at the Connecticut Watercolor Society in 1974; the Huntsville Museum of Art in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1979; the Silvermine Guild Arts Center in Silvermine, Connecticut, in 1983; the Charter Oak Temple Gallery in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1987; and "An Exacting Art," a one-man show at Manhattan East Gallery of Fine Arts in New York, New York, in 1991. It won First Prize at the Connecticut Watercolor Society exhibition in 1974.
