NotesSubject Note: Harold Fisher Pierce was born on 6 May 1889 in Willington, Connecticut. He attended Clark University and Harvard Medical School. He later obtained advanced degrees from Oxford University and Columbia University. He served as a flight surgeon with the Air Force in World War I and World War II.
