Clapp & Treat Hardware was located at 64 State Street, and was run by George I. Clapp and Irving C. Treat.
The Exchange Bank was located at 76 State Street.
The Catholic Transcript was in 66 State Street.
The Long Brothers Hotel was at 78-82 State Street.
The Courant was located at 64-66 State Street.

Subject Note: On the dating and Judd & Bailey business: There is no "Judd & Bailey" found in the Hartford City Directories. There is a listing for Judd & Barnard only in 1904. The same year a Bailey, from 66 State Street, is listed as moving to New Haven. In 1905 Judd is listed on his own, and in 1908, he is listed as removed to Windham, CT.
