DescriptionReproduction of an artwork featuring a group of seven men, seen from the torso up, all wearing suits. Below them is a large, dark square, and to their left is the text, "Every day I hear the." To the right are lines of text, with two phrases repeated: "Everyday I hear the politicians say thus and thus is so... But few ever state a real reason why thus and thus is so."
NotesSubject Note: The entry for this piece in the "Artwork Catalog" shows that it appeared in Mitchell's one-man exhibition at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1972; another one-man exhibition at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut, in 1973; at the Silvermine Guild Arts Center and American International College in 1974; and a third one-man show at Connecticut Public Television in Hartford, Connecticut. It was sold into a private collection in 1974.
