DescriptionTwo Chippendale chairs flank an upholstered sofa. An upholstered side chair and a Chippendale chest with two drawers are in the far corner of the room. A lamp with a shade and a small jar or container are on the chest. Oil paintings, including a portrait of a woman and two landscapes, hang on the paneled walls. Drapes hang at the window. Part of an electric chandelier is visible at the far left. A large oriental rug is on the floor.
NotesSubject Note: The home of Morris Joseloff at 59 Sycamore Road, West Hartford, Connecticut was designed by the architectural firm Ebbets & Frid in 1930. Joseloff had one of the most important private art collections in Connecticut. Some of his paintings are visible in some of the photographs of the interiors of his house. (Finlay 9/20/2012)
