DescriptionEmployee identification badge of Peter Shurka for the Broad Brook Company. Consists of two parts, (a) metal badge with photograph of employee, and (b) accompanying circular piece of metal.

(a) Inscription on front of badge reads, "BROAD BROOK COMPANY". The black & white photograph is of Peter Shurka, the donor's father, and original owner. Beneath the photograph of Peter is an accompanying number which reads "464". The back of the badge has an inscription encircled in the center which reads: "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. - NEWARK N.J.".

(b) Inscription on front of metal piece reads, "BROAD BROOK CO. / 581 / PAY CHECK.".
