DescriptionBust-length miniature portrait of a man with dark brown hair wearing a gray jacket, cravat or stock, white shirt, and black waistcoat. Metal frame is deeply molded and has a suspension loop. The square frame fits in a red leather covered case with brass hooks; the case has a green velvet pad.

NotesSubject Note: Manuscript document in museum object file reads "Portrait of Jabez W. Huntington of Norwich, Connecticut, painted in New York City AD. 1815 by 'Waldo & Jewett' given by him to Hezikiah Rudd (of Scotland, Windham Co.) his friend & former Roommate in Yale College, Class of 1806." This notation was written by Charles De Forest Rudd, nephew of Hezikiah Rudd.
