DescriptionBadge consisting of pin and two ribbons stitched back to back. Metal pin has a gold trim, with an off-white celluloid center which has the image of a handshake. The back of the pin is copper-tone and has engraved, "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK N.J. / PAT. OCT. 18, 92 / MAR. 7, 93". Attached, the front ribbon has red, white, and green vertical stripes. Through the center in gold print reads, " S.M.S / CONTE / DI / TORINO / SALANDRA". Ribbon goes to a point at the bottom and has a metal trim and multiple metal coils attached. The back ribbon is black with a white trim along the left and right sides and is frayed at the bottom. On the top in silver it reads, "S.M.S." in the center there is a silver printed cross, under which reads "SALANDRA".
