DescriptionCommittee badge, consisting of pin, ribbon, and round button. Atop the ribbon is a fixed bar with a metal pin backing and celluloid front, trimmed in gold with an off-white center; black text reads, "COMMITTEE". Attached to the pin is a satin ribbon with thick vertical stripes from left to right colored red, white, and green. Attached to the bottom of this ribbon is a circular off-white button, at the center there is a black and white image of a standing statue of Christopher Columbus. Around the trim of the circle reads in black text, "COLUMBUS DAY CELEBRATION --1926 / HARTFORD, CONN." On the back of this button there is a paper label in black text stating, "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. / BUTTONS, / BADGES, / NOVELTIES / AND SIGNS / NEWARK, N.J."
