DescriptionFull-length profile portrait of a woman wearing a wedding gown, a crown, earrings, and a veil. The dress is trimmed with layers of lace and has a train. Her left hand rests beside a book on a table covered with a fringed tablecloth. A monogram consisting of the letter N surmounted by a crown and surrounded by laurel leaves is woven into the cloth. A fluted column and drapery with tassels are in the background. A fountain and a palace (possibly the Tuilleries) with a flag flying from its central pavilion are visible in the distance.
