NotesSubject Note: Clifford Mitchell was an architect as well as artist, so images of buildings figure frequently in his artwork.

Storefront churches were a subject of special interest to Mitchell and he took many photographs of such churches and based numerous artworks on them. At one time he planned to issue an artist's book incorporating both photographs and artwork.
