NotesSubject Note: The Twenty-Second Connecticut Volunteer Infantry was a nine-months regiment, recruited primarily from Hartford County. The regiment mustered in on 20 September 1862 and mustered out 7 July 1863. The subject of this photograph is identified as a member of the Twenty-Second on the basis of the number on his cap.
