DescriptionA man with deformed hands and legs is seated in a chair. He is barefoot, but wears a coat, shirt, tie, and trousers. He holds a quill pen in the crook of his left arm and trims the end with a knife strapped to the the stub of his right arm. A crutch rests against the chair at the right. The man's deformities appear to be the result of birth defects.
