NotesSubject Note: Richard Crowley was from New Britain, Connecticut. He enlisted on 20 April 1861 and was mustered in to the First Regiment Infantry Company G as a Private on 23 April 1861. He was mustered out 31 July 1861. He re-enlisted on 11 November 1861 and was mustered in to the Thirteenth Regiment Infantry Company E as a Corporal on 8 January 1862. He was promoted to Sergeant on 15 December 1862. He re-enlisted on8 February 1864. He was captured on 19 September 1864 in Winchester, Virginia. He was paroled on 27February 1865 and discharged on 12 June 1865. (Ruocco 5/10/2012)
