NotesTitle Note: Name appears as "Alfred P. Greene" on the mount; name is "Alfred P. Green" in the military records. (Finlay 4/22/2012)

Subject Note: Alfred Green was from Meriden, Connecticut. He enlisted on April 18, 1861 and was mustered in to the First Regiment Infantry Company F as a Private on April 22, 1861. He was mustered out on July 31, 1861. He re-enlisted on August 23, 1861 and was mustered in to the Seventh Regiment Infantry Company C as a Corporal on September 6, 1861. He was promoted to Sergeant on September 1, 1862. He re-enlisted on December 22, 1863. On June 2, 1864 he was wounded and captured in Bermuda Hundred, Virginia. He was paroled on December 16, 1864 and he died on January 9, 1865. (Ruocco, 04/24/12)
