Subject Note: Barbara Thurston McAuliff may have been the wife of Samuel McAuliff of Hartford. McAuliff enlisted in the Union Army on April 18, 1861 and was mustered into the First Regiment Infantry Rifle Company A on April 22, 1861 as a Private. He was mustered out on July 31, 1861.
