DescriptionA man or boy is fishing on the left bank of a winding river. He appears to be sitting on a stump and a basket is to his left. Trees and bushes grow on the left bank. On the right bank of the river are more trees and bushes with cows in a meadow in the background with a fence and further back are three animals which look like cows, lying and standing in a meadow. Behind them is a wooden fence, additional fields, and a small town with a prominent white church steeple. Hills are in the distance.
Object number1974.1.2
NotesSubject Note: Loomis lived in Windsor, but this painting appears to depict the town of Farmington.
