NotesSubject Note: Walter S. Hotchkiss was from Bridgeport, Connecticut. He enlisted in the army on July 12, 1862 and he was mustered in on September 10, 1862 into the Second Connecticut Volunteer Light Battery as a First Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain on January 1, 1865. He was mustered out on August 9, 1865. (Ruocco, 4/21/2012)
