NotesSubject Note: Frank McAuliffe of Hartford first mustered in as a private in the First Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry on April 22 1861; he mustered out on July 31 1861when the three-month regiment was disbanded. He then mustered in as 2nd Lieutenant in the Twenty-Second Connecticut Volunteer Infantry on September 20 1862. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on March 30 1863. He mustered out on July 7 1863.
