NotesSubject Note: This series of window displays celebrates the anticipated opening of the Hotel Statler (later the Parkview Hilton) in Hartford in September 1954. Overlooking Bushnell Park, the hotel was a popular venue for social events during the mid-20th century. The hotel was demolished in 1990. (Finlay 3/13/2012) Constituent Note: Photographs are unsigned, but others in this series of photographs of window displays were taken by Edward Saxe, so it is possible that he was the photographer for this group as well.
