NotesSubject Note: "The Crest" was the Thorne family's name for their house, Thorncrest, in Millbrook, NY. Designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter for George Hunter Brown, it was built in 1867 and called Millbrook House. The grounds were landscaped by Olmsted & Vaux. The lily pond was on the south road. The house was razed in 1950.
