DescriptionCanvaswork pocketbook constructed in an envelope style, with a scalloped flap. The pocketbook is worked in crewel yarns on a linen canvas in a carnation design variation, alternating with zigzag bands. Predominant colors are shades of red, golden brown, yellow, cream, and dark green. The interior is divided into two compartments, with expandable sides made with accordian-pleated silk. The interior is lined with deep red silk. The edges are bound with brown/white silk tape. The pocketbook is interlined with stiff paper.
