NotesSubject Note: J. Hamilton Stanton was born in 1876, and married Emily Brace in 1922, following the death of her first husband William Hamersley, who had died in 1918, thus becoming the stepfather of their daughter Jane. According to the Federal Census, Stanton was an advertising salesman. (Ruocco, 03/24/12) Date Note: Though the inscription on the verso indicates that Scranton was possibly nineteen, he would have been about seventeen in 1894.. (Ruocco, 03/24/12)
