DescriptionWoman's shift of plain, heavy linen. The body is cut in two flared panels; the proper right side is pieced. The sides are stitched with flat-felled seams and the shoulder seam allowances are stitched to one side. The neckline is scooped about 6 3/4 inches deep. The sleeves are short (10 3/8 inches). Ease is created by an underarm gusset. The neckline, sleeve openings, and bottom edges are finished with narrow hems.
