NotesSubject Note: John Allen was born on February 6, 1815. He was a member of the Connecticut State Senate in 1863-1864 and 1884-1885. He was married to Mary Allen and was the father of Jane Allen, who married Judge William Hamersley in 1882. He is the great grandfather of Jane Hamersley Wright. The Allen family lived in Saybrook. He died on June 17, 1901.
