DescriptionFramed full-length portrait of a young boy with short brown hair and dark brown eyes. The boy wears a green dress with white trim, white pantaloons, and white slippers. He is holding a small bouquet of flowers in his left hand, and in his right hand holds a dog's leash. The dog is brown and white, and is at the right standing on a short stool.
Parts of the canvas of the painting at the boy's forehead, cheeks, shoulders, and hands is puffed out slightly.
NotesDate Note: The subject was born in 1842, and appears to be somewhere around two to three years of age in the portrait, which would make the date between 1844 and 1845. (Lee 2/14/2012)
