DescriptionBlack wool broadcloth bag, embroidered in petit point with a spray of red/pink roses on one side and red/pink lily-like flowers on the other side. The edges of the purse are bordered with a two-tone green toothed design. The bag was lined in black silk (now almost completely disintegrated). A long loop of brown cotton cord is attached to each side of the top edge. The side seams are open for about 1 1/2-inches; a cord-covered disk over the looped cord slides up and down to alter the width of the purse opening, by allowing the sides of the purse to open or close. The top of the purse closes with a button and loop.
