DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a man with long hair and sideburns wearing a coat, vest, high collar shirt, and necktie.

The daguerreotype has a plain, octagonal gilt mat; the pad has a design of leaaves and flowers surrounding a central decorative element; and the case has a stalk of flowers, possibly sunflowers, within a cartouche surrounded by a rectangular border.
