DescriptionFrame buildings, one of them with a gambrel roof, are on a sandy spit of land surrounded by water and marshes. The masts of two sailing vessels are visible above the roofs at the right. A board fence and two stacks of salt marsh hay are at the left. A man and a rowboat and another stack of hay are at the far left. Three small sailboats are at anchor. The sails of other boats are visible on the horizon.
