DescriptionA group of seven women, three men and a young boy stand in a semi-circle outdoors in front of palm trees. The women are all wearing dresses and hats, and the men are wearing suits and hats. The man in the center of the group is holding the little boy, who is wearing a wide-brimmed hat. In the background, the figure of another man can be seen on the left approaching the group.
Collections
Okeetee Club, incorporated in 1894 and possibly designed by the New York, N.Y. architectural firm McKim, Mead & White, was founded as a hunting club. Jonathan Thorne, Jr., Harriet V.S. Thorne's husband, was a co-founder and is listed as having beenpresent during the years of 1895-1897, 1899-1907, 1909 and 1914. It is unclear whether Harriet was in attendance with her husband.
