DescriptionReproduction of a three-quarter view portrait painting of a little girl with curly hair. She appears to be wearing a dress. The canvas shows an oval format but is framed in a rectangular frame. The frame is visible. The canvas is signed "A. Muller-Ury 1901."
NotesConstituent Note: A. Muller-Ury, the signature on the painting, refers to Adolfo Muller-Ury (1862-1947), a Swiss-American painter. He was most known for his portraits and impressionistic paintings of roses and still lifes. Some of his famous sitters included President McKinley, General Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt and many members of New York's elite.
