NotesOther negatives of the same hydrangea bush are identified as being taken at "The Crest."
"The Crest" was the Thorne family's name for their house, Thorncrest, in Millbrook, NY. Designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter for George Hunter Brown, it was built in 1867 and called Millbrook House. The grounds were landscaped by Olmsted & Vaux. It was razed in 1950.
