DescriptionPencil and watercolor drawing with moss, bark, and acorns applied. In veneered ogee frame, with shallow gilt-edge shadow box inserted in rabbet. A label on the back of the shadowbox reads: "Model of the Charter Oak / The moss acorns and bark are / from the Charter Oak and was / made a year before its fall / by Mrs. Harriet Strong Hamer / Hartford, Conn."
