DescriptionFinely stitched chemise with 1 3/8-inch-wide band forming a neckline yoke, edged with eyelet embroidery. The front of the chemise is a gathered panel over the bosom. The chemise closes at center front with five small mother-of-pearl buttons. The button placket on the bosom panel is flanked with narrow strips of eyelet embroidery. The sleeves are short (eleven inches) and are set smoothly into the yoke. The sleeve openings are edged with eyelet embroidery. Ease is provided by underarm gussets. Triangular insertions in the side seams create flare. The back of the chemise is gathered into the yoke. The bottom is finished with a 1 1/2-inch hem.
