NotesSubject Note: Arthur Cheney (1837-1878) was the son of Ward Cheney, of the Cheney Silk Manufactory in Manchester, Connecticut. Arthur Cheney was the proprietor of the Globe Theater in Boston, Massachusetts. His daughter Ethel M. Cheney married Samuel Thorne, the son of Phebe and Samuel Thorne and the nephew of Harriet Van Schoonhoven Thorne. (Finlay 4/4/2014)
