DescriptionWhite cotton drawstring bag, constructed with side panels shaped with tapered sides and a rounded bottom. A straight strip of fabric is gathered between the side panels, creating a ruffled appearance when the bag is flat. The top edge of the bag is stitched with a straight strip of fabric so that when the drawstring is pulled, it creates a ruffle. One side panel is embroidered with "H T" in script above a decorative scroll, surrounded by a bullion-stitched leafy wreath. The edges of the panel are bordered by a pattern of interlocking rings stitched with French knots. The other panel is embroidered with a cornucopia-shaped vase filled with tall flowers. Embroidery stitches include bullion, satin, French knots, and outline.
