DescriptionShift of medium-weight, plain-woven linen. The front and back panels are cut as one and folded over at the shoulders. The flare of the shift body is achieved with nineteen-inch-long triangular gores stitched to both sides at front and back. The neckline is round and about 6 1/4 inches deep. The sleeves are short (twelve inches) and narrow. Ease is provided by gussets under the sleeves. Seams are either selvage-to-selvage, or have the seam allowance stitched to one side. Hems are about 1/4 inch deep.
