DescriptionA group of people is seated around an oval dining room table in the interior of a dining room. Some women are elderly. One young man appears to be wearing a military uniform. Two children in the left foreground are blurred from movement. Plates and cups are stacked on the table. Silverware and glasses are arranged at individual place settings. Flowers are in a vase. China is displayed in a corner cupboard in the background. A light fixture hangs from the ceiling in an adjoining room.

Object number2011.153.6
NotesSubject Note: Griswoldville is located in Wethersfield. The dining room is presumably in the home of Grandmother Ella Griswold Deming, who lived in Griswoldville. Most of the Deming family lived in Hartford.
