DescriptionPurse with a convex-curved bottom and concave sides. Worked on the purse's dark brown cotton velveteen is a star pattern in red, white, and blue glass beads (the central beads are large blue cylindrical beads.) This pattern is bordered by rows of narrow white cotton tape, and gold zig zag braid, following the contours of the purse shape. The edge is bound with red plain-woven cotton, and a one-inch fringe of looped white beads is stitched around the sides and bottom. The top edge is covered with staight gold tape. The purse is lined with brown glazed cotton and interlined with leather. Blue wool tape is used for a carrying handle.
