DescriptionMen, women, and children file past booths in the interior of a large tent. A sign in one booth reads "Hickory Smoked." Figures of men and women in historic costume are displayed on the wall at the back of the booths.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
