DescriptionA man and a woman look at merchandise displayed in booths in the interior of a building at the Danbury Fair. The woman appears to be wearing a plaid plastic raincoat and boots. Merchandise includes candles, Christmas ornaments, knit caps, scarves, and cards. An artificial fireplace and log paneling are in the background. Electric light bulbs hang from the ceiling.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
