DescriptionAn elderly woman is displaying a flowerpot which she appears to have just removed from a bucket of marbling solution. Other objects with marbled patterns are on the table in front of her. Women, girls, and a man holding a small boy are watching the demonstration. Another man, in the background, is wearing sunglasses. A sign in the background reads "Delicious Dough Boy."
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
